Job Description:
The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing medical services for individuals who reside at San Angelo State School. This care is provided under the supervision of the medical director and is consistent with the policies and guidelines of DADS and San Angelo State School. The care conforms to community standards for high-quality medical care within the available local resources. The NP reports administratively to the Medical Director. Performs highly advanced (senior-level) clinical nursing work. Work involves assessing, planning, and providing comprehensive patient care independently or in collaboration with health care professionals. May plan, assign, and/or supervise the work of others. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment .
