Behavioral Interventionist/Lead
Clay County - Green Cove Springs, FL

The Lead Behavioral Interventionist has primary responsibility for overall instructional behavioral interventions. The Lead Behavioral Interventionist is the first line of escalation when student issues arise and additional support is needed. Employee works with individuals and groups in support of socially significant outcomes in education, mental health and rehabilitation. Position oversees the execution of all behavior modification system components of the AMIkids Personal Growth Model® (PGM) and ensures that all employees are implementing within defined standards and fidelity.

This position is also responsible for driving the achievement of the School's objectives by supporting classroom management, tutoring and computer lab assistance, under the direction of the Director of Education or School Leader. Additionally, the Lead Behavioral Interventionist supervises the Behavioral Interventionist staff, Transportation personnel, related transportation services and the Community Safety Specialist positions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree; preferably in Business Administration, Education or Criminal Justice
  • Two (2) years experience within an educational or youth service program, preferably working with troubled youth; or any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
  • Must satisfy criminal background check and drug screening as defined by state requirements.
  • Current certification as a CPR and First Aid by a nationally recognized organization (e.g., American Heart Association)
  • Must possess and maintain a current valid driver's license in the state of employment; driving record must pass criteria defined in AMIkids Transportation Standards.
  • May be required to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger and school bus endorsement.
  • Successfully complete and pass the physical restraint training course.
  • Be able to complete trainings outside the program as needed (travel may be required)
